Notification released for state service examination

    The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) has released the dates for the Preliminary Examination and Main Examination by issuing notification for the State Service Examination 2020. The preliminary examination is to be conducted in two shifts on 14 February 2021. Whereas, the main examination will be held on 18, 19, 20 and 21 June 2021. Interested and eligible candidates will be able to apply online for the preliminary examination by visiting the official website of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission, psc.cg.gov.in.

    The process of online application will start from 14 December. The last date to apply is January 12, 2021.

    Under this recruitment, a total of 143 vacant posts are to be filled in various departments of the state government. Candidates can check the vacancy details, educational qualification, age limit and other related eligibility according to the posts in the notification issued on the official website.

    Selection Process

    The selection of the candidates includes preliminary examination, main examination and interview. The candidates who are declared successful in the preliminary examination will have to go through the main examination and interview process.

    This is the pattern of preliminary examination

    There will be two papers in the preliminary examination. Each paper will have 100 objective type multiple choice questions of 200 marks. There will be four alternative answers for each question, out of which the correct answer has to be identified. Explain that this test is based on negative marking. One third mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. A time schedule of two hours will be prescribed for both the papers. In the first paper, there will be an examination for the subject of general studies. At the same time, the second paper will have aptitude test. In each paper, the candidates of unreserved category will be required to get minimum 33 percent marks. For more information, see the notification.

    Main exam and interview

    The main examination will have seven papers for a total of 1400 marks. Candidates will be given three hours for each paper. At the same time, the interview of the candidates will be conducted for a total of 150 marks.
