Assam began the online registration process for the enrollment of different posts in the Assam Forest Department and candidates may submit online applications for enlistment from the Assam Forest Department via of SLPRB’s site — slprbassam.in — until 25 June 2020.

Assam Forest Department conducts this recruitment process to fill the following under Forest Department posts, Assam:

144 Forester-i positions, 

11 Grade-ii Stenographer positions, 

812 Forest Guard posts, 

35 Surveyor posts, 

28 Mahut posts, 

1 Carpenter post

 50 Driver post

Grade III Forester-I and Stenographer Age Limit: 

The candidates’ age ought not surpass 38 years and should not be under 21 years as of 1 January 2020 (the candidate ought to be born on or before 01-01-1999 and after 01-01-1982 or after).

Age Limit for Forest Guard, Surveyor, Mahut, Carpenter & Driver:

Candidates must not be over 38 years and under 18 years old as on first January 2020 (candidates ought to be born prior to 01-01-2002 and on or after 01-01-1982).

Relaxation of the Age:

The upper age limit is as relaxed as:

– In the case of SC, ST (H) & ST (P) candidates, five years.

– In the case of OBC / MOBC applicants, three years.

Educational Qualification: 

– Forester-I: 

Applicants ought to have a four-year bachelor’s degree in any subject from a perceived University or any Examination announced proportionate by the Government.

Stenographer Grade-III: 

Applicants ought to be a graduate in any stream from a perceived College/Institutions affiliated to a recognized University with having National Trade Certificate in stenography from ITI in Assam or some other establishment perceived by the Govt. of Assam/Govt. of India with 80 WPM in English Stenography.

Forest Guard: 

Applicants ought to have passed higher secondary (10+2) or proportional assessment from a perceived Board/Council. 

Surveyor: 

Applicants ought to have finished HSLC or equivalent exams and must have a certificate in Draftsmanship from a perceived Institute. 

Mahut: 

Candidates ought to have finished Class VIII or equivalent and should have at least 3 years’ experience with elephant upkeeping.

Carpenter: 

Applicants ought to have passed HLSC or equivalent exams and must have a trade certificate from a perceived Institution. 

Driver: 

Applicants ought to have passed HSLC or equivalent exams and must have a legitimate four-wheeler driving license issued by the Competent Authority of Assam.
