The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday canceled the Class 10 examinations and postponed the Class 12 examinations in view of the increase in COVID-19 cases. Significantly, the decision was taken in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while an Education Ministry (MoE) official said, “Postpone the Class 12 board examinations to be held from May 4 to June 14. Are given. These examinations will be held later. The situation will be reviewed by the board on June 1 and details related to it will be shared later. At least 15 days notice will be given before the examination starts. “

Results will be prepared by the board on the basis of internal assessment

While elaborating the process for the students of class 10th board, the official said, “The board examinations for class 10 have been canceled. Class 10th result will be prepared on the basis of an objective criteria to be developed by the board. Any student or student who is not satisfied with the marks allotted to him / her on this basis, will be given the opportunity to appear in the examination. But the examination will be conducted only when the circumstances are favorable.

Explain that in the high level meeting held on Wednesday, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, School and Higher Education Secretary and other top officials along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi had attended.

Schools closed in 11 states due to Corona epidemic

The country is currently seeing an increase in COVID-19 cases in many states. Some states have been greatly affected due to corona infection. In this situation, schools have been closed in 11 states. Unlike state boards, CBSE is required to conduct simultaneous examinations across the country. At the same time, the Education Ministry (MoE) official also said that due to the rising outbreak of the epidemic, the decision has been taken to close the school and cancel or postpone the examinations.
