The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has once again resumed the application process under the recruitment advertisement for the posts of Agriculture Officer and Agricultural Research Officer (Agricultural Chemistry) released in January 2020. Also, the Commission has also increased the number of vacancies advertised for these posts from 63 to 97. As per the update released by the RPSC on Wednesday, October 15 on the official website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in, the interested candidates for these posts can apply through the application portal of the Commission from October 20. Also, candidates should note that the last date for online application has been set as 3 November 2020.

Who can apply?

According to the RPSC Agriculture Officer Recruitment Notification, only those candidates who are eligible for application for Agriculture or Horticulture MSc degree from a recognized university institution and have knowledge of Hindi language and Rajasthani culture in Devanagari script, are eligible to apply for the posts of Agriculture Officer. At the same time, candidates with a Masters degree in Chemistry or Agrochemicals or Soil Science in minimum second grade can apply for the posts of Agricultural Research Officer (Agrochemicals). The prescribed age limit for both the posts is minimum 20 years and maximum 40 years as on 1 January 2021.

Selection:

Candidates for the posts of RPSC Agriculture Officer and Agricultural Research Officer (Agricultural Chemistry) will be selected on the basis of scrutiny examination and interview. At the same time, weights will be determined for the candidates’ academic performance along with both the stages in the final selection. On the other hand, the scrutiny test will be objective type which can be conducted online or offline. The examination can be conducted in Ajmer / Jaipur.
