GATE exam schedule pattern and date released

    IIT Bombay has released the date for the GATE 2021 exam. The initial date to apply for this examination is 14 September and the date for submission of application form with late fees is kept 7 October. The last date for correction in the application form is 13 November. The admit card for the GATE exam will be released on 8 January 2021 and will be followed by the exam on 5 February 2021.

    Candidates apply for this exam on the official website. Candidates apply for the exam through gate.iitb.ac.in. The registration process will start from 14 September and will run till 30 September. The examination will be held from 5 February to 14 February 2021. This exam will be in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9 am to 12 pm and the second from 3 pm to 6 pm.

    There have been some changes in the GATE exam 2021. This time two new subjects have been added. Which are Environmental Science and Engineering and Humanities and Social Science? The GATE 2021 scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of declaration of the result. This exam will be computer-based and multiple-choice questions will be asked. Candidates will have to answer 65 questions for a total of 100 marks in three hours’ time. The examination consists of two sections.

    GATE is the gateway to MTech degree courses at IITs and IISc institutes. Apart from this, gate passing PSUs are also placed in jobs. The Ministry of Education and others also seek GATE for admission to postgraduate programs (master’s and doctorates) along with government scholarships. This year this exam will be conducted for 27 subjects.
