Enlisted as a lieutenant in the army

Indian Military Academy (Non-Technical): Direct recruitment is also done for non-technical posts in IMA for which candidates from the age group of 19 to 24 years are eligible to apply.

10 + 2 Technical (TES): Indian Army conducts a technical recruitment scheme of 10 + 2 passed youth with minimum 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. The age limit for this is 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

NDA Recruitment: An option for recruitment to the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army is the National Defense Academy (NDA) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), which is conducted twice a year by the Commission. To appear in this examination, candidates must have passed 10 + 2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.

JAG (Male & Female): JAG (Male & Female) recruitment process is conducted for entry into the Legal Corps in the Indian Army for which LLB with minimum 55% marks passed and from the Bar Council of India or Bar Council of various states.
