New courses started in Journalism

    Admission in various courses for academic session 2020-21 at Haridev Joshi Journalism and Mass Communication University (HJU) has started from Wednesday. Admission information has been released on the university website. Students will be able to apply by September 10.

    Admissions will also be given to the three-year undergraduate course (BA – JMC) in Journalism and Mass Communication in the new semester. HJU will be the first state university in Rajasthan to start this course.

    Two-year postgraduate courses MA-JMC (Print Media), MA-JMC (Electronic Media), MA-JMC (Media Organization, Advertising, and Public Relations), MA-JMC (New Media), and MA-JMC (Development Studies and Social Work ) Are also starting to enter. Apart from this, the admission process in the Ph.D. under the Department of Media Studies and the Department of Electronic Media has started.

    Diploma courses under various departments are also being started from this session. All these diploma courses of six months’ duration are self-funded. These include Diploma in Practical Hindi, Diploma in Functional English, Diploma in Desktop Publishing, Diploma in Photography, and Diploma in Development Communication.

    AJJ Registrar Ashok Kumar Sharma said that admission in BA-JMC, postgraduate courses, and all diploma courses will be given directly on the basis of preference list. The entrance test will be conducted for Ph.D.
