The process of fresh recruitment to the posts of office assistant in rural banks across the country will be completed this time in the next 9 months. Similarly, the process of recruitment to clerical posts in nationalized banks will also be completed in these 9 months. Through various examinations for recruitment to the posts of Office Assistant and Officer (Scale 1, 2, and 3) in Regional Rural Banks (RRB) and Clerk, Probationary Officer / Management Trainee (PA / MT) and Specialist Officer in Nationalized Banks. The exam calendar for the year 2021-22 has been released by the select institute, ‘Institute of Banking Personnel Selection’ (IBPS). As per the calendar released by the institute on Wednesday, 3 February 2021, the final phase will be completed by October 2021 as part of the selection process for candidates for office assistant posts and clerk positions in RRBs.

IBPS PO / MT Main Exam in November, SO in January

On the other hand, preliminary examinations will be conducted on 9, 10, 16 and 17 October and the main examination on 27 November 2021 as per the selection procedure prescribed for PO / MT posts in banks. This means that candidates preparing for IBPS PO have time of 10 months. On the other hand, the preliminary examination for the posts of Specialist Officer is to be held on 18 and 26 December and after that the main examination for the successful candidates will be held on 30 January 2022. Thus the full time of 12 months is for the candidates of IBPS SO.

Application process online

According to the IBPS Calendar 2021-22 issued by the institute, the application process for various posts in regional rural banks and national banks will be completely online. Also, registration has to be done once for the preliminary and main examination. However, the dates for the release of notification for the recruitment exams to be held for various posts and the commencement of registration have not been announced by the IBPS at present.
