UGC NET JRF Age limit increased

    The University Grants Commission (UGC) has increased the maximum age limit for candidates applying for the UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship (UGC JRF NET 2021) exam to be 31 years in May 2021. The UGC has issued a notice related to this.

    Let me tell you that due to the transition of Kovid-19, UGC NET examination could not be conducted in December last year. Keeping this in mind, the UGC has increased the maximum age limit for JRF so that the candidates whose age limit has expired for December session can join it. JRF candidates have benefited a lot from this change of UGC.

    According to the notice issued by UGC, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, Third Gender candidates and women applicants have been given exemption up to five years. At the same time, the candidates of LLM degree will have a relaxation of three years in the maximum age limit. As is known that there is no maximum age limit for the post of Assistant Professor.

    Important dates for UGC JRF NET 2021:

    Last date to apply for UGC NET May 2021 exam: 2 March 2021

    Last date for submission of application fees for UGC JRF NET 2021: 3 March till 50 PM

    Date for Correction in UGC JRF NET 2021 Online Application Form: March 5 to March 9

    NTA UGC JRF NET 2021 Exam Date: 2 May, 7 May, 10 May, 12 May, 14 May and 17 May 2021

    Date of issue of UGC JRF NET 2021 Admit Card: to be announced later.

    UGC JRF NET 2021 Examination:

    This exam will begin on 2 May 2021. This exam will be conducted in the first two shifts. The first shift examination will be from 9.00 am to 12.00 noon and the second shift exam will be from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm after noon. The examination will be of total 3 hours.

    UGC JRF NET 2021 – Application Fee:

    For General category – Rs. 1000 /

    For EWS, OBC and NCL – Rs.500 /

    For SC, ST, Divyang and Third Gender – Rs.250 /
