CBSE Syllabus 2021-22

After the academic session 2020-21 is affected due to the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic, traditional studies are not possible even in the new session 2021-22. Government and private schools across the country are either still closed or are busy completing the syllabus on time through online classes. However, during the last session due to the difficulties being faced by the pandemic, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had reduced the syllabus of various classes by 30 per cent this year. But so far this year the CBSE board has not announced any reduction or review in the syllabus prescribed for various classes, especially the secondary and senior secondary classes. Due to these, in view of the CBSE’s 10th and 12th class board examinations to be held in the year 2022, students across the country are demanding on social media to reduce the syllabus this year as well.

On the other hand, according to media reports published on the basis of information received from a CBSE official, no decision has been taken by CBSE regarding reduction in syllabus this year in view of the board examinations of the year 2022. At the same time, in many media reports, the possibility of reducing the syllabus by CBSE is being expressed in view of the interrupted teaching work like last year.

As per the information received, the chapters which were removed by the CBSE board last year due to this year’s board examinations have also been re-added in view of the next year’s board examinations during the year 2021-22. Students can visit the official website, cbse.gov.in for official information and latest updates regarding the syllabus for the year 2021-22 for various classes prescribed by the CBSE Board. However, the syllabus of class 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th has been made available for the year 2020-21 only in the syllabus section of the CBSE website.
