The NCB, which had already been facing criticism for the extended pre-trial custody of Aryan Khan, said that this and five other cases were being moved to the Delhi because they had “wider and inter-state ramifications”. Mr. Wankhede has been retained as the Mumbai unit head, even as he faces an internal investigation over allegations of extortion raised by a witness in the cruise case.
