TOP HEADLINES:

1) Befitting  reply given to those coveting our territory, says PM. 

PM Modi on June 28 gave a strong statement on the ongoing battle between India and China,  “the world has seen India’s commitment to protecting its borders and sovereignty. In Ladakh, a befitting reply will be given to those coveting our territory.” He warned China to take revenge of the death of our soldiers without mentioning its name and by quoting a Sanskrit Shloka. He said that the challenges faced by the country such as Covid19, Cyclone Amphan and Nisagra and Locusts attacks apart from the battle on LAC cannot lay the country downwards. 

2) Delhi has not reached community transition state, asserts Shah. 

The Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah told that the central and the state government are working together in preventing the spread of corona virus disease. He told that he took the note of the current situation and discuss it with expert doctors of AIIMS, NITI Aayog and ICMR chief, there is no sign of community transition yet. He further added that the situation is under control. Till now death has reported more than 80,000 cases and around 2500 deaths.

INTERNATIONAL NEWS: 

1) Tense standoff continues along LAC. 

After one week of martyl of 20 Indian Jawans, , both Indian and Chinese troops continue in “eyeball­to­eye-ball” positions in the least the friction points along the road of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. The Ministry of External Affaiirs had issued a press release that the “Chinese side took premeditated and planned action that was directly responsible for the resulting violence and casualties”. The bodies of the Indian soldiers were badly bruised and most of them received head and chest injuries. About 75 soldiers were badly injured by rods on their heads, chest etc. Even after the conversation between the Corps Commander on June 22, China has not vacated or removed their structures that were built by them since May in a number of the disputed sites. However there has been a noticeable thinning in the presence of Chinese troops. 

2) Russia agrees to speed up defence deals. 

During the recent trip of defence minister Mr. Rajnath Singh to Russia, Russia has agreed to address some  defence requirements of India on an urgent basis. There is some progress on the AK­203 assault rifle deal and the S-400 deal will be delivered by 2021 as scheduled. The deal of  200 Ka­226T utility helicopters has stuck over some matters. The deal for transferring various types of crucial helicopter engineering to India has also been done. Many MoUs have already been signed with domestic companies by RH for localizing assemblies such  as fuselage, blades, radio station and landing gear.

NATIONAL NEWS: 

1) Meetings being held in India to unseat me : Oli. 

After revising the map of Nepal on June 13,2020, by unanimously passing a second constitutional bill, the Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. K.P. Sharma Oli on June 8,2020,has said that meetings were organised in India to topple his government. He alleged that a plot was fixed within the meeting to deploy his government. He also gave hint about an external plot against his government back in 2016 and recollected that the government failed because he had reached China and signed transit agreement with it which reduced dependence and connectivity of land through India.”

2) FIR against Ramdev, 4 others. 

The police has registered an FIR against yoga guru Ramdev and 4 others for allegedly conspiring to sell a fake Ayurveda medicine with a false  claim to cure COVID­19 patients followed by  clinical trials on several  patients. The FIR said the claim had been made without getting the approval of Union AYUSH Ministry. It was also revealed that many  complaints against Baba. Ramdev had been registered for claiming to have developed a medicine for curing covid19 without any trial. No arrests have been made so far. Whereas Patanjali claimed that all the legal procedures were followed before launching the medicine. The Union AYUSH Ministry has look into the matter  and directed Patanjali Ayurveda to stop advertising the claim that the medicine can cure the patients of  COVID­19.

3) We will win both the battle : Shah. 

Union Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah said that India will win the battles against the COVID­19 pandemic and the Chinese aggression along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. Mr. Shah, in an inter-view said, “We will win both the battles. I want to assure the people that under the leadership of Modi-ji, we will win both the battles.” He said Parliament is about to convene, and he will discuss everything related to China that has occurred in the country since 1962. Mr. Shah also spoke at length on various measures taken by the Centre and the Delhi government to control the spread of the coronavirus  disease.
