How to get admission in St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai

St Xavier’s College is an autonomous college established in the year 1869 and is affiliated under University of Mumbai.The college offers Junior college, UG, PG, Certificate and Diploma courses in the field of Arts, Science, Business and Commerce.

1.Junior College

The Junior college is a two-year programme which provides with you Higher Secondary Certificate by Maharashtra Board.

It offers two streams that is Arts and Science.

The seat reservation is 50% for minority students (Christian).

To take admission under first year junior college students have to apply online through the website link  http://mumbai.11thadmission.net  and fill the form.

Girls applying for government freeship-staying in Maharashtra for more than 15 years and up to the third child should submit the front and last page of their Ration card.

The documents to be submitted for admission are

SSC STUDENTS

A. Admission form

B. Original Marksheet with two attested photo copies.

C. Original School Leaving Certificate +2 attested Photo copies

D. One photo copy of the First & the Last Page of Ration Card (For girls applying for government freeship-staying in Maharashtra for more than 15 years and up to the third child)

CBSE/ICSE students

1. Admission form

2. Original mark sheet + 3 attested photo copies

3. Original Passing Certificate + 3 attested Photo copies

4. Original School Leaving Certificate/Transfer certificate+3 attested photo copies

5. Original Migration Certificate +2 attested photo copies

6. Original Character Certificate +2 attested copies

7. Transcript / Syllabus of passed subjects (1 copy)

8. Deed of Undertaking on Rs.100/- Stamp paper (Matter pinned with the application form for eligibility as in point Number 2)

9. One photo copy of the First & the Last Page of the Ration Card (For girls applying for government freeship – staying in Maharashtra for more than 15 years and up to the third child) Note: 2 photo copies should have original signature of the principal and not rubber stamp signature.

2. Undergraduate degree

The college offers 6 different degree BA, BCom, BSc,BSc (IT), BMS, BMM. Admission in BMS and BMM are open for all stream students thus an entrance examination is conducted for the two streams all the rest streams entrance is done through merit list.

The entrance test of BMS and BMM are conducted online and is of 2 hours of duration. It is a 100 marks test. For the final scoring the ratio of weightage of the test to weightage of your high school marks is 60:40. The test contains NO NEGATIVE marking. The syllabus is

For BMM the subject with its weightage is written below

  3. Data Interpretation 20%
  4. Economics 10%
  5. English Language & Comprehension Skills 20%
  6. Logical Reasoning & Critical Analysis 15%
  7. Creative Thinking 10%

For BMS the subject with its weightage is written below

  1. English 20%
  2. Logical Reasoning & Visual Reasoning 20%
  3. Data Interpretation* 20%
  4. Mathematics* 20%
  5. General Knowledge & General Awareness 20%

For BSc (IT) it is mandatory for a student that they had mathematics in their higher secondary exam.

3. Post Graduate
