NATIONAL NEWS- 

1) Amit-Anu will become the country’s first Colonel “Jag” couple:

Colonel Amit Kumar and Lieutenant Colonel Anu Dogra, working in the Legal Branch Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Indian Army, will soon become the first Colonel Jag Couple of the country. 

2) Removed ‘Sher-e-Kashmir’ from the name of the conference center:

The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Sunday removed ‘Sher-e-Kashmir’ from the name of the state’s largest ‘Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Center’ (Skicc). Its name will now be ‘Kashmir International Conference Center’. Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Sheikh Abdullah, was called Sher-e Kashmir. 

3) Altaf Bukhari of PDP formed ‘Jammu and Kashmir apni party’:

Former PDP leader Altaf Bukhari on Sunday announced a new political party ‘Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party’, which includes names of PDP, National Conference, and 23 former Congress Ministers and MLAs.

4)  Former Law Minister Hansraj Bhardwaj passed away:

Former Governor of Karnataka and Kerala and former law minister Hansraj Bhardwaj passed away at the age of 42. Bhardwaj breathed his last at Max Hospital in Saket. He was admitted there since Wednesday. He had kidney problems. Bhardwaj was among the Congress leaders who openly questioned Rahul Gandhi’s leadership ability.

5) Amazon became India’s most desired Internet brand:

Amazon India has been chosen the Most Desired Internet Brand. According to the TRA Research Survey, Google is at number 2, Facebook number 3. The same Zomato is at number 4, Google Play 5 and Ola at number 6. Among the 30 Internet brands included in the survey, 14 are Indian, 12 American and 2 Chinese.

6)  In the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, there is no longer a journey of 79 km, pilgrims will be able to reach there in 3 days:

Now, in the first 6 hours from Dharchula, pilgrims will be extinguished with vehicles. The next day, in 3 hours, pilgrims will arrive Guji by cars or bus and spend second night here. On the third day after the medical examination, pilgrims will reach China by Lipulekh. After 80 km road trip in China, visitors will reach Kugu. From there, they will move towards Mansarovar. It will take 16 days to start the journey from Delhi (2400 km). First used to take 22 days.

7) TIFAC introduced the Jyoti Vigyan program:

On 8 March 2020, the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) unveiled the Vigyan Jyoti program. The program focuses on empowering women to pursue science. Vigyan Jyoti is a scheme that will make a level-playing field for the worthy young ladies in secondary school to seek after Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) in their advanced education.

8) JK is setting up a Committee on Delimitation:

The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has formed the Delimitation Commission for the Lok Sabha delimitation process and the constituencies of assemblies. The Commission was established under the chairmanship of Ranjana Prakash Desai, a former Supreme Court judge. The Commission’s individuals are Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Shushil Chandra and J&K’s election commissioners, and the Commission will be ex-officio individuals from the four North-Eastern states.

9) Center sets withdrawal limits for Yes Bank depositors:

India’s legislature has set a one-month withdrawal breakpoint of Rs.50,000 for Yes Bank investors where the Ministry of Finance has discharged the notice in this regard.

10) Center establishing at least one PMBJP Kendra in each country block:

Government plans to create one Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya JanAushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) Kendra in each Indian block and area by the end of 2020. The declaration was made by the Union Minister of Development of North Eastern Region Dr.Jitendra Singh at the Jan Aushadhi Diwas festivity in Kathua, J&K.

11) Focus on making disposable packages from Sanitary pads compulsory from January 2021:

The Center is to make it compulsory from January 2021 for the sanitary napkin organizations to give bio-degradable removal packs. The information was declared by the Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar at an International Women’s Day occasion in Pune on 8 March.

 

STATE NEWS- 

1) Biometric verification required from Aadhar. Online registration for purchase of mustard and gram from 18 March:

Online registration will be started from March 18 for the purchase of mustard and gram in the state. Registration for Kota division has started from 6th March. Mustard will be purchased at the designated centers at a support price of Rs 4425, and gram for Rs 4875. Farmers can register at E-Mitra center or related purchase center. For this, the farmer has to bring a photocopy of Aadhar card, Janadhar / Bhamashah card, Girdawari for crop related documents and bank account passbook as his identity. The number and date of P-35 of Girdawari will also have to be uploaded.

2) MNIT will provide counseling for admission in M.Tech:

MNIT has got the responsibility of centralized counseling for admission in M.Tech-M.Sc. seats in the country’s engineering institutes, NIT’S and IIITS. In this, admission will be given on the basis of GATE score 2018,2019 and 2020. The CCMT will admit more than 40 engineering institutes including 31 NIT’S of the country.

 

WORLD NEWS- 

1) Britain is producing the world’s largest underwater drone. 3850 miles will be firepower, scientists engaged in testing:

Britain is developing the world’s largest underwater drone. It is claimed that enemy countries will not be able to detect it. Scientist are engaged in testing. This 100 feet underwater drone equipped with nuclear can be operated from the surface itself. The special thing is that the drone is designed in such a way that it can remain continuously active for three months in water. Like submarines, the drone will also patrol. Its firepower will be up to 3450 miles. The Royal Navy hopes that the first drone will join their fleet in the next five years.

2)  Corona’s havoc: In many European countries, employees were given paid leave and other facilities:

Northern Italy Seal. In America, employees of Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter and many companies are working from home.

3) Saudi Arabia has cut oil prices despite failing to reach an agreement with OPEC plus meeting:

Oil costs fell by 20 percent following the failure of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to settle on a concurrence with its accomplices on creation and production cuts. The gathering OPEC+ that was held among OPEC and its partners finished up with no arrangement on extra creation cuts.

4) The ‘ Aurat March ‘ was held in Pakistan:

Non-binary women and rights activists in Pakistan rioted in a national occasion known as the ‘ Aurat March ‘ on Sunday to mark women’s day.

 

SPORTS NEWS- 

1) India in the playoffs for the first time:

Under the leadership of star player Sania Mirza, India created a new history by reaching the Fed Cup Asia / Oceania zone group one match for the first time.

2) The ICC launches a plan to encourage cricket for women:

On Sunday, to expand on the force of the ongoing T20 World Cup, the International Cricket Council propelled a year crusade to advance ladies’ cricket. The “100 percent cricket” campaign will highlight the players ‘ ability, athletic enthusiasm, intensity and power and bring to life all fans who love the game.

NATIONAL NEWS:

1) On 10 March the CISF commemorates the 51st ‘ rising day’:

On 10 March, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) observed the 51st ‘ raise day. ‘The day was commended by CISF personnel with their families where a motorcade was performed up by the CISF authorities and the Service Personnel were granted awards for recognized and exemplary administrations and PM laid a festoon at the Martyr’s Memorial.

2) Government of India forms the Kisan Rail committee:

The Indian government has formed a committee to work out the ‘ Kisan Rail ‘ modalities suggested by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to build a cold supply chain through the PPP model for the transport of perishable goods.

3) Railways establishes GoS to notify private operators of passenger trains:

The Ministry of Railways has set up a Secretary Group (GoS) to exhort the terms and conditions for private passenger train operators where the statement was made by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

4) India ranked as the second-largest importer of weapons in the world according to SIPRI:

India is the world’s second-largest importer of weapons according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) study entitled “Trends in International Arms Transfers 2019” where Saudi Arabia tops the list.

 

WORLD NEWS:

1) Jack Ma had overtaken Mukesh Ambani to become the richest man in Asia:

Bloomberg Billionaires Index announced that Jack Ma became the richest man in Asia, while Mukesh Ambani, who was the richest man in Asia, moved to second place after oil prices plummeted with global stocks.

2) UNCTAD: Corona virus causes 15 per cent decrease in FDI inflows:

The United Nations Conference on Trade, Investment and Development warned that the worldwide flows of Foreign Direct Investment would decline by 15 percent due to the Corona Virus outbreak which could cost the global economy 2 trillion USD.
