How to Prepare a good resume for freshers

Basics of a Resume:

  • It is a 1-2-page summary of your work experience, skills, achievements, background, and credentials.
  • The main purpose of a resume is for job application, to share all credentials for employment, admission in universities or other professional purposes.

Sections:

A good resume includes following sections: –

  • Header/Personal Details- Your information and contact details like name, email id, address, and phone number.
  • Objective- What are your requirements and objectives.
  • Education- Includes all your qualifications, institute name and other specialization or educational achievements.
  • Practical/Experience/ Projects- It includes recent job including position, name and location of organization and dates of employment. Also mention your role, responsibilities, achievements, internships, and volunteer work.
  • Skills- These are the strengths, personality traits, occupational skills, and list of information that you are seeking in a job.
  • Interests- It includes all your professional aspects.
  • References- A referee should be included at the bottom of a resume. By using the name of a referee, you make sure to ask their permission first otherwise write “References available on request”.

Guidelines for Resume header:

  • only give basic information that you want to share like name, current address, email id, phone number etc.
  • Do not include your photo, date of birth, marital status etc.
  • Do not give unnecessary details like family information and don’t use vague statements like “I have excellent communication skills” etc.

Guidelines to the Objectives:

  • The main purpose is to convey what your goal is.
  • The objective should include the position, functional area, and industry of your choice.
  • Keep in mind that objective is not about what you want but it’s the company needs.

For e.g.:

# If you are a job seeker: – Use trainee as a position or a beginner in a company.

# If you are seeking an internship: – Use ‘intern’ in which role you’ve applied.

Guidelines to the Education:

  • The main purpose of the education section is to provide all the basic qualification for the job or internship.
  • It includes the qualification details from class 10th to present, school/college name, board, specialization, year of passing and marks/CGPA.
  • Remember to write all qualifications in chronological order and use tabular format.

For e.g.:

Guidelines to the projects, internships, experience etc.:

  • Include all your projects, internships in 2-3-line description (must be brief and specific), and time period of your work.
  • The entries in each heading must be in a reverse- chronological order.
  • Only specify what you’ve achieved.

For e.g.:

XYZ Project from ABC company (Jan 2017-May 2017):

(Write all the description of your project.)

Guidelines to the Skills:

  • It shows what you’ve learnt in the past.
  • You can have multiple headings under skills like:

                    -soft skills: – To show your personality traits.

                    -core/occupational skills: – Your professional traits.

                    -IT skills.

  • Always add your best skills and unique strengths.

For e.g.:

Leadership quality: If you lead a team during a campaign or in university activities.

Guidelines to the Interest:

  • The main purpose of your interest shows about your real character. During discussion or interview, the interviewers asks about your interest first. So carefully choose your interest.
  • Mention your meaningful and best interest that supports you.

For e.g.:

– I am a trekker and an active member of xyzzy club and completed 1- treks.

– I like photography and travelling.

Length of a resume:

Always keep your resume short and concise up to 2 pages.

Format and style:

The design and layout of your resume should be neat and use paragraphs and bullet points.

Do’s in your resume:

  • Start from a template.
  • Mention your relevant experience.
  • Keep your resume short around 800 words.
  • Include a summary statement.
  • Do run a spell check.
  • Include your soft skills like “effective communicator” etc.
  • Do include your non-experience work and volunteer work.
  • Mention your extracurricular accomplishments.

Don’ts of a resume:

  • Don’t use obvious skills like ‘using the internet’.
  • Don’t use undermining words like ‘first time’, ‘myself’ etc.
  • Avoid use of many fonts.
  • Don’t include anything private and confidential.
  • Don’t try to hide gaps if any during academic. Be honest and confident in the truth.
  • Don’t use negative phrases like ‘fixed problem’ etc.
  • Don’t use a PDF format for your resume. Use word files wherever possible.
  • Don’t copy the job description or copy from your friends resume. Use your original data.

1) CSIR gets clearance for two COVID-19 clinical medication preliminaries:

 CSIR को COVID-19 के लिए दो क्लिनिकल ड्रग ट्रायल के लिए मंजूरी मिली:

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has obtain endorsement for the treatment of COVID-19 for two clinical preliminary medications – ‘phytopharmaceutical’ and ‘favipiravir,’ where endorsement was granted by the Drug Controller General of India (DGCI).

काउंसिल फॉर साइंटिफिक एंड इंडस्ट्रियल रिसर्च (CSIR) ने COVID-19 के इलाज के लिए दो नैदानिक परीक्षण दवाओं- Scientific फाइटोफार्मास्युटिकल ’और and फेविपिरविर’ को मंजूरी दी है। ड्रग कंट्रोलर जनरल ऑफ इंडिया (DGCI) द्वारा मंजूरी दे दी गई है।

2) Jharkhand prohibits the manufacture, stockpiling and selling of pan masala containing Magnesium Carbonate for 1 year:

झारखंड में 1 साल के लिए मैग्नीशियम कार्बोनेट युक्त पान मसाला की बिक्री, भंडारण, बिक्री पर प्रतिबंध है:

On May 8, 2020, the Jharkhand state government provided a request forbidding the production, stockpiling, dispersion or sale of Pan Masala containing Magnesium Carbonate in the state for a time of one year in which the request was passed by the state’s Food Safety Commissioner, Nitin Kulkarni.

3) Huge exercise to supply free food grains, pulses under PM-GKAY to 80 crore individuals:

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution announced that an aggregate of 2641 rakes were provided by the Food Corporation of India including Wheat and Rice where the declaration was made by the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan.

Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Giriraj Singh, granted the victors of the “Startup India-Animal Husbandry Grand Challenge” on 8 May, propelled as a collaboration with Startup India through the Animal Husbandry and Dairying wing.

5) The Defence Ministry signs with Tata Power SED for Airfield Infrastructure Modernization:

रक्षा मंत्रालय ने एयर फील्ड इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए टाटा पावर एसईडी के साथ हस्ताक्षर किए:

The Ministry of Defence marked on 8 May an agreement with M/s Tata Power SED (TPSED) to upgrade the airfield foundation (infrastructure) of 37 airfields for the Indian Air Force, the Indian Navy and the Indian Coast Guard, where the agreement costs about Rs. 1,200 crore as the agreement proposition was affirmed by the Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh.

1) India and AIIB conclude a USD 500 million aid agreement to COVID-19:

भारत और AIIB ने USD 500 मिलियन COVID-19 समर्थन के लिए समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए:

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has consented to an arrangement with the Indian government to give USD 500 million worth of funding to help India’s “COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Program,” which will assist India extend its reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic and improve general wellbeing preparedness for the country.

एशियन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक (AIIB) ने भारत के “COVID-19 इमरजेंसी रिस्पांस एंड हेल्थ सिस्टम्स प्रिपेरडनेस प्रोजेक्ट” का समर्थन करने के लिए 500 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के फंड उपलब्ध कराने के लिए भारत सरकार के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। यह परियोजना भारत को COVID-19 महामारी के प्रति अपनी प्रतिक्रिया देने और देश की सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य तैयारियों को मजबूत करने में मदद करेगी।

2) UP CM Yogi Adityanath introduced the Pravasi Rahat Mitra App for supporting migrants:

1) On the 40th commemoration of the eradication of smallpox, the WHO and UN post office issue memorial postage stamps:

डब्ल्यूएचओ और संयुक्त राष्ट्र की डाक एजेंसी ने चेचक के उन्मूलन की 40 वीं वर्षगांठ पर स्मारक डाक टिकट जारी किया:

On 9 May, the World Health Organization and the UN postal office released a memorial postage stamp to recognize the 40th commemoration of the eradication of smallpox, where the WHO’s crusade for the annihilation of smallpox was propelled in 1967 to bring issues to light of smallpox worldwide through post stamps.

2) IEA’s Global Energy Assessment reports that the market for electricity is down by 15 percent:

                                                        Since ancient time, we all are known that there was no such awareness in the Indian society regarding the women’s education and the women were facing very vulnerable position in the society but with the development of time, this point was kept in view and a stand had been taken for this. Now – a – days, the concept of equality can be seen in respect of social, economic & political aspects. विशाखापत्तनम में एलजी पॉलिमर प्लांट से स्टाइलिश गैस रिसाव ने 8 से अधिक लोगों की जान ले ली:

After Styrene gas spilled from LG polymers plant in Visakhapatnam promptly toward the beginning of the day on May 7, 2020, in excess of 8 individuals died including a child, as indicated by Andhra Pradesh DGP, Damodar Goutam Sawang, there have been 8 losses up until now and one of them has fallen into a well while attempting to get away. The accident occurred in the morning at about 3:30 am.

2) Government prohibited export of liquor-based hand sanitizers:

On May 6, the central government prohibited the export of liquor-based hand sanitizers as the choice was taken in the wake of the increasing request of the residential sanitizers. The central government on March 19 additionally declared a restriction on the export of coveralls, masks, ventilators and other necessary products for COVID-19 treatment where the Foreign Trade Directorate-General (DGFT) issued an official notification expressing that the liquor based hand sanitizers were barred from exporting.

5) Center setting up ranchers’ development focused on Soil Health Card for incorporated soil supplement management:

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has reported the creation of an incorporated soil supplement management program for ranchers as declared by the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister of the Union, Narendra Singh Tomar. In 2020-21 the main focus of the Soil Health Program will be on a mass awareness campaign for farmers in more than 1 lakh towns covering the whole region of the country.

1) US organization Vista Equity Partners to contribute Rs 11,367 cr for 2.32 percent stake in Reliance’s Jio Platforms:

अमेरिकी फर्म विस्टा इक्विटी पार्टनर्स ने रिलायंस के Jio प्लेटफॉर्म में 2.32 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी के लिए 11,367 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश किया:

Vista Equity Partners, a US-based firm, would soon contribute Rs 11,367 crore for a 2.32 percent stake in Reliance Jio Platforms which will be the third significant interest in Reliance Industries Limited in under three weeks. RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani said in an explanation that like different accomplices of RIL, Vista has a similar dream about proceeding to expand and change the Indian digital biological system to benefit all Indians, and that the company accepts that innovation’s problematic potential is the way in to a superior future for all.

2) Govt begins Ayush medications clinical preliminaries for COVID-19:

सरकार ने COVID-19 के लिए आयुष दवाओं के नैदानिक परीक्षण शुरू किए:

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan declared on May 7 that the clinical preliminaries of Ayush meds have been initiated for COVID-19 by the Ministry of Health where the preliminaries will be age old prescriptions like Yashtimadhu, Ashwagandha, and Guduchi Pippali. The Union Minister told that the clinical preliminaries of Ayush medications have begun on well-being laborers and those working in high-hazard territories, and that the preliminaries will be in partnership with the Ministry of Health to give quality treatment to COVID-19 patients. 

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री डॉ। हर्षवर्धन ने 7 मई को घोषणा की कि आयुष दवाओं के नैदानिक परीक्षण सीओवीआईडी -19 के लिए स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय द्वारा शुरू किए गए हैं। परीक्षण यशतिमाधु, अश्वगंधा और गुडुची पिप्पली जैसी पुरानी दवाओं के होंगे। केंद्रीय मंत्री ने बताया कि स्वास्थ्य कार्यकर्ताओं और उच्च जोखिम वाले क्षेत्रों में काम कर रहे लोगों पर आयुष दवाओं के नैदानिक परीक्षण शुरू किए गए हैं। स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने आगे कहा कि परीक्षण स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के सहयोग से होगा ताकि कोरोना के रोगियों को मानक देखभाल प्रदान की जा सके।

3) Union Minister Gadkari has set the objective for road development at Rs.15 lakh crore for the following two years:

केंद्रीय मंत्री गडकरी ने अगले दो वर्षों के लिए 15 लाख करोड़ रुपये से सड़क निर्माण का लक्ष्य रखा:

Ministry of Road Transport and Highways reported its objective of building roads worth Rs.15 lakh crore in the following two years where Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and MSMEs Nitin Gadkari declared that the Ministry is staying at work longer than required to clear all mediation cases with concessionaires.

4) Coir Board marked a MoU with IIT-Madras to create a Coir Application Center of Excellence:

Legislature of Uttar Pradesh passed an order ‘Uttar Pradesh Temporary Exemption from Certain Labor Laws Ordinance, 2020’ to suspend labor laws for the following three years with the goal of boosting industrial production and employing the enormous number of vagrant specialists who have returned to their local towns in the State.

8) INMAS passes approval by Indian Navy PPE:

1) Saras Collection propelled at GeM Platform by Government:

सरस कलेक्शन को सरकार द्वारा GeM पोर्टल पर लॉन्च किया गया:

The Saras Collection was propelled on the Government and Marketplace (GeM) platform on May 4 by Minister of Rural Development Narendra Singh Tomar, which means to exhibit the day by day utility items made by the Self-Help Groups (SHG) and will likewise give access to state and central government purchasers in rustic regions.

सरस संग्रह ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर द्वारा सरकारी ई बाज़ार (GeM) पोर्टल पर 4 मई को लॉन्च किया गया है। सरस कलेक्शन का उद्देश्य स्वयं सहायता समूहों (SHG) द्वारा बनाए गए दैनिक उपयोगिता उत्पादों को प्रदर्शित करना है। राज्य और केंद्र सरकार के खरीदारों के लिए ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में भी बाजार उपलब्ध कराएगा।

1) Trade Unions seeks central Rs 7,500 cash help:

ट्रेड यूनियनों ने केंद्र से 7,500 रुपये नकद सहायता की मांग की:

The central trade unions have looked for money assistance for every needy family amounting to Rs 7500 from the central government. Ten central trade unions except for RSS member Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, have together composed a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraging him to offer money support of Rs 7500 every month to each non-income family that pays charge for a range of a quarter of a year.

केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों ने सभी कमजोर परिवारों के लिए केंद्र सरकार से 7500 रुपये की नकद सहायता मांगी है। आरएसएस से जुड़े भारतीय मजदूर संघ को छोड़कर दस केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों ने संयुक्त रूप से प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को एक पत्र लिखा है जिसमें उन्हें तीन महीने की अवधि के लिए घर का भुगतान करने वाले हर गैर–आयकर कर को 7500 रुपये प्रति माह नकद सहायता देने का आग्रह किया गया है।

                                           Since birth we have many relationships but the bonds we create ourselves is of friendship and teacher student relationship. Teachers possess an important position in the society by giving the most elegant and attractive accessories to personality of youth. In our ancient mythologies, teachers have been given the most respectful place. Since we learn things from our family but the teachers are the ones who give the right direction and shape to our thinking. They let us explore our potential and it cannot be wrong to say that we spend more time with teachers than any other. We always find teachers to be more eager towards our growth or development not only in studies but also in personal skills than us. Every teacher is a student in life but not every student can be a teacher. Teachers are the one who sow the seed of skills, potential, righteous thinking along with the feature of correcting our errors. They let us understand the moral and social values along with the lessons of being kind, laborious and honest. We always take from our teachers and in return, they only expect us to be a good and responsible person. This is true that many families rely for every kind of development of their child only on teachers because they can believe them as teachers are blessed with the feature of letting others succeed. Sometimes, we share a bond of friendship with them. 

Problems which Educators face:
  • They have very frustrating paperwork as they need to maintain the reports, question papers along with other records like making of results, providing notes and managing monthly tests. 
  • There is no appraisal or increment in salary and if it is but not enough as per their hard-work or their time – consumption. 
  • Teachers may face a problem in giving monthly progress reports or half yearly progress reports of each and every child to the parents via parents – teacher meetings as most of the time; it happens that parents instead of understanding start blaming teachers. 
  • Sometimes problems occur when they do not get jobs according to their qualifications or somewhere they face difficulty in getting recruitments as per their qualifications.
